The option is available to accommodate extended family next door at Arches Retreat.

Qualifications
Penny has known how difficult it can be to find accommodation you are BOTH happy with, while the carer has a much-needed break. "I looked after my husband after he had a severe stroke, and I have worked for Oxford Aunts, one of the UK's most reputable care agencies, for six years from 2003 - 09. I have certificates for Basic Manual Handling, Competence to Administer Medication, and Recognising Elder Abuse as well as references from past Clients which may be seen by prospective Clients and/or Family Members."

The House
 
"My house is in the hills above Parua Bay, looking out over paddocks and bush to the ocean on the horizon. The house was designed to accommodate a person with physical limitations and a wheelchair. The guest bedroom is large and comfortable with a door to the garden and its own disabled accessible en suite with grab handles for shower and toilet. There is a TV in the room and an easy chair if you want some privacy and quiet."
As much or as little assistance as may be required for showering, toileting, etc, is available.

The Grounds
Access to the drive and garden is easy, with areas to sit out and enjoy the views and the peace of the countryside or take gentle exercise. Sheep and cattle graze the quiet paddocks surrounding the garden and birds are busy in the trees all around.
