The Club's beginnings were in 1987 when it was known as Western Hills Bowmen. The name was changed to Mt Tiger Archers in 2001 to reflect the clubs geographical location on Mt Tiger Rd.

The outdoor club consists of 4 different courses- 2 marked distances and 2 unmarked- which are located on some of the best field archery terrain in New Zealand. The location is well served by pine and mature native forests, open spaces, a picturesque stream and good hill terrain.

The indoor venue has been developed as an excellent place to learn archery. Coaching sessions are held here on both nights for beginners and Club equipment is available for a nominal hire

Arches Self Contained Accommodation
Arches is just 2.8km further up Owhiwa Rd, offering 3x separate bedrooms on one floor and two adjoining bedrooms on the ground floor and will be delighted to offer B&B "Lodge" style accommodation - where guests share facilities (top quality everything! and very spacious) for $65 p.p. per night with the third and forth night 1/2 price.

Lodge sleeps 10 - 12 very comfortably with luxury Super King Sized Beds or Twins as required. Extra Guests by arrangement.

We also offer home cooked evening meals at $25 p.p. (Minimum four guests booking for dinner)
